Description

Ишкашим находится в среднем течении реки Пяндж на высоте ок 2600 м. н.у.м. Обрамляется хребтами Ишкашимским по правому берегу реки и Лаль с левого берега. По каменистым участкам и склонам доминируют Incarvillea olgae, Capparis herbacea, Artemisia. На песчаных отмелях заросли Hippophae rhamnoides.
