Согласно IPNI Clematis japonica (Houtt.) Makino nom. illeg. homonym. post. Clematis japonica Thunb. и по POWO является синонимом Clematis florida Thunb. Его базионим Anemone japonica Houtt. так же синоним Clematis florida Thunb. Создавать пустую полочку Clematis japonica Thunb. возможно не следует, так как это эндемик Японии и появление у нас фото маловероятно.
