Подскажите, пожалуйста, как её отличают от обыкновенной сосны?

Шишка у неё довольно сильно отличается. Посмотрите "Деревья и кустарники СССР" т. 1, с. 240-242 - там есть рисунок шишки и приведены отличия от Pinus contorta.
