Река Гриа Влихада впадает в море севернее Георгиуполиса. Это естественная граница городка. За ней начинаются «дикие земли» – скалистое побережье, которое тянется до мыса Драпано. Здесь, на каменистых склонах, несмотря на выпас коз, можно найти немало интересных растений (напр. Atractylis gummifera, Carlina graeca и Drimia maritima).
